We have 7 racers registered as of today (October 4th) and are expecting many more as we get closer to the 20th. Most regatta registrations happen near race day (of course) and we can accommodate as many people as possible.

Regatta structure

There a few considerations for how the racing will take place:

• We have a limited number of boats and don’t want a huge fleet on the line
• Adults don’t fit well in Optis; weighed down boats may be slow
• Optis are going to be uncomfortable to sit in for prolonged periods

Therefore, we will run heats.

Sailors will be able to race and advance to semi-finals and finals.

AYC has a shower for anyone who wants to warm up afterwards 🙂

We will have “Rescue” boats on hand to offer assistance, should it be needed.

There will be lots of bailers available if the boats happen to get water in them.
